Henrietta Monyei Egbai Foundation

Building a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive

We champion the cause of widows, vulnerable children, internally displaced persons, and underserved communities, offering pathways from immediate relief to sustainable livelihood.

Our Story

The HME Foundation was established to respond to the needs of widows, vulnerable children, displaced persons, and underprivileged communities in Delta State and beyond.

The Foundation operates an integrated program spanning humanitarian relief, healthcare, women empowerment, child protection, education, livelihoods, advocacy, and strategic partnerships to drive systemic, lasting improvement.

Our Story

Our Mission

To restore dignity, improve quality of life, and create sustainable opportunities for widows, vulnerable children, displaced persons, and underserved communities by providing access to healthcare, education, livelihood support, protection services, and humanitarian assistance through innovative partnerships and community-driven solutions.

Our Vision

A world where every widow, child, and displaced person, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to live with dignity, security, good health, hope, and the resources needed to reach their full potential.

Our Commitment

At the Henrietta Monyei Egbai Foundation, we are committed to creating lasting change through compassion, collaboration, accountability, and evidence-based action. We address immediate humanitarian needs while building sustainable pathways out of poverty, empowering women, supporting children and displaced families, and strengthening resilient communities. Our work aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring measurable, scalable, and sustainable impact.

The Founder's Story

A Journey of Compassion and Resilience

I FELT

After God gave me a second chance, I spent time praying and asking myself how I could give back and make my life more meaningful to others. The answer became very clear to me, to save widows, orphans, honorable children and people living in difficult conditions.

Henrietta Monyei Egbai

Founder & Executive Director

Today, the HME Foundation stands as a testament to that vision. From emergency relief to sustainable livelihoods, every programme is designed to bridge the gap between crisis and opportunity. Henrietta believes that dignity is not something we give; it is something we help people reclaim for themselves.
